Tenant Chilumba
New kabwe warriors executive committee constituted appoints former napsa head coach and under 23 national team asistant coach tenant chilumba as new kabwe warriors football club head coach.
Chilumba’s appointment was announced this evening by Kabwe Warriors Football Club Chairman, Hayden Dingwall, following interviews held in Kabwe today Monday 22 January, 2018.
Mr. Dingwall said Mr. Chilumba will add value to Kabwe Warriors because of his immense experience in football coaching.
Chilumba who is an Ex Kabwe Warriors player and Assistant Coach is expected to report to report within the next forty-eight hours.
Chilumba replaces Elijah Chikwanda who has been Kabwe Warriors coach since July 2017.
Meanwhile Mr. Dingwall thanked Mr. Chikwanda for his services rendered to the team during his six- month tenure.
Appointment and announcement of the rest of the technical bench is expected by Wednesday this week.
The new Kabwe Warriors Committee was appointed last Thursday (18th January 2018) with Kabwe businessman, Hayden Dingwall retained as Chairman.
Others in the Committee are Chuchu Mwanabaleya as Club Manager, Ms. Chungu Sikazwe as Vice Chairlady.
The rest of the Committee Members are Cledwin Mulambo, Mutale Ngandu, Francis Lwanga, Collins Phiri and Caristo Chitamfya.
The Committee’s immediate task was to appoint the Head Coach for the Club. Kabwe Warriors is a Kabwe based Premier League soccer team with one of the widest support bases in the country and beyond.
The team is fully sponsored by Zambia Railways Limited.
