FAZ Submits 5 Teams To CAF for Championships

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Monday submitted a provisional list of five clubs to represent Zambia in next year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-club competitions, Zambianfootball.news understands.

Zambia has four slots – two in the Champions League and two in the Confederation Cup.

FAZ general secretary Adrian Kashala says he has submitted a provisional list consisting of Super Division champions Zesco United, Nkana, Green Buffaloes, Green Eagles and Zanaco to CAF.

Apart from the champions Zesco United, second-placed Nkana and Green Buffaloes who are third, have confirmed their slots in the CAF interclub championships but Eagles still need to win their last game to clinch the fourth place as they are only a point above Zanaco.
