And no Zambian coach has applied for the lucrative position obvious because they do not meet the qualifications which were specified by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) in the job profile.
According to the Times of Zambia, Martinez, 38, is the current coach for La Liga side FC Granada and has served before as Sevilla coach.
In his playing days, the Spaniard used to play as a full centre back before retiring from active football at the age of 20 to begin his coaching career.
