2012 Africa Cup winning experienced defender Joseph Musonda has declared that Nkana are equal to the task of challenging for both the CAF Confederation Cup and the FAZ Super Division title this year.
The Nkana Executive Committee led by President Evaristol Kabila has asked Kalampa to win both the Confederation Cup and the league title this season.
In an interview in Kitwe, Musonda welcomed the seemingly daunting task from the executive.
“In life you need to have challenges. That challenge is welcome, indeed we need to win the league,” Musonda said.
“We need to work hard because it won’t be easy to play Confederation Cup this season,” the ex-Chipolopolo star said.
Nkana will start the Confederation Cup campaign at the first round stage after being put on bye during the preliminary phase.
And Musonda, 40, said he has two more years to play before contemplating retirement.
“I am still playing. I have strength to play for two more years and inspire youngsters. God has renewed my strength,” he said with a smile.
