Green Eagles opponents in the CAF Champions League, Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević has stepped down from position citing personal reasons.

The club confirmed the development on their official website. The club also categorically said the decision was unilateral.

“Milutin Sredojević relinquishes his position as Head Coach of Orlando Pirates Football Club after two seasons at the helm. The Club would like to place on record that this decision was taken unilaterally, and it was the management’s decision to accept Mr. Sredojević to vacate his position based on reasons he has presented which are of a personal nature.”

Assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena will assume the coaching responsibilities assisted by Fadlu Davids and Franck Plaine.

The Sea Robbers will host the Kawale Boys on Friday 23rd August in the return leg if their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie. Eagles carry a one-goal advantage thanks to their 1-0 win at home in the first leg.
