Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka’s shirt has been sold for close to £3,000 at an auction to help raise money for a childrens charity in Austria, Zambainfootball.news understands.
Daka’s shirt has been sold to raise money for FC salzburgs charity called “The KOKO Salzburg children’s and youngsters’ charity“. Daka’s shirt was put on auction as Rauch Rookie of the match.
In a statement, FC Salzburg writes;
OUR CHARITY AUCTIONS ARE RAISING INCREDIBLE SUMS FOR GOOD CAUSES IN THE NEW SEASON TOO. AFTER JUST A FEW WEEKS, A TOTAL OF CLOSE TO 3,000 EURO HAS BEEN GENERATED. THE HIGHEST PROCEEDS SO FAR HAVE COME FROM THE 1000 EURO SALE OF THE RUBY SHIRT WORN BY PATSON DAKA.
The KOKO Salzburg children’s and youngsters’ charity is therefore able to benefit from a further 1,000 Euro in proceeds from the Rauch Rookie of the Match shirt of Patson. A total of 1,774 Euro in total has been donated to the charitable organisation, which offers around 400 childcare places.
An auction is now running of the Rauch Rookie of the Match away shirt worn by Hannes Wolf in the 3-1 win in St. Pölten.
The proceeds from the sales of the shirt of Hannes will this year go to the Hilfswerk Salzburg relief organisation.
