The Zambia Women National team have settled in their environs at the Coega Sports Complex in Port Elizabeth and got down to business on Monday afternoon.
Coach Beauty Mwamba, Technical Advisor Bruce Mwape and goalkeeper trainer Yona Phiri took the lasses through the paces at the Coega Sports Complex.
The team will be skippered by Misozi Zulu while Barbara Banda is the deputy captain.
Zambia opens its Group B account with a match against Lesotho on Thursday at 15:30 hours at Wolfson Stadium with guest team Cameroon being the next opponent on Saturday at the same venue.
The final group match will be against Mozambique next Tuesday.
The three group winners will qualify to the semifinals with one best loser in the three batches.
Zambia reaped bronze at the 2017 edition that was staged in Zimbabwe.
Mwamba is using the Cosafa championship as a part of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in November to be hosted by Ghana.
