First half goals from Nigerian forward Quadri Kola and Kenyan International Jesse Were delivered a 2-0 win over Nakambala Leopards in the two sides rescheduled Week 2 match.
After Zesco United had beaten Nkana FC 2-0 on Sunday it was time to focus on Leopards who Zega hadn’t lost to since 2014 though last years match at Levy Mwanawasa between the two clubs ended in a 0-0 draw which meant anything was possible today.
An opening goal from Quadri in the 8th minute and Were in the 18th minute settled things as Were also missed a penalty late in the first half in a match which saw Jacob Banda returning back in goal while young fullback Shemmy Mayembe got a starting role.
At the end of the day it ended 2-0 with a victory that sends The Ndola based giants second in Group A on 6 points.
