Suspended ZESCO United FC coach Zlatko Krmpotic is happy that the Ndola side won the Super Division title but is not willing to return to work.
Krmpotic, 58, joined Zesco in February last year on a two-year deal but was suspended in October last year and his assistant, Tenant Chembo, took over and guided Zesco to the sixth league title
Zesco Chief Executive Officer Justine Mumba early last month said the executive would decide whether to terminate the coach’s contract or redeploy him within other operational areas of the club, but the Serbian has revealed of not having any interest of continuing with any role at the Friedly City based club.
Mumba said the executive took an initiative to put Krmpotic on paid leave to save the club from poor performance.
Mumba says the decision of the executive has since been vindicated as the club has managed to win the sixth league title unbeaten since first Assistant Tenant Chembo took over from Krmpotic.
Zlatko is currently in Serbia, his native country.
