The Zambian Super League returns this Saturday with fixtures coming thick and fast as the race for the TOP 4 continues ass well as teams trying to survive relegation.
SATURDAY the 22nd of September
GREEN BUFFALOS VS NAPSA STARS, EDWIN IMBOILA, 13:00, LIVE ON SUPERSPORT 9
Green Buffalos look to have run out of steam and have failed to win their last 5 games and face a Napsa Side who are unbeaten in their last 12 games and will want some more points to make themselves safe but the last time Napsa beat Buffalos away was in 2012.
A match to watch.
NKWAZI VS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, EDWIN IMBOILA, 15:00 LIVE ON SUPERSPORT 9
Assembly are still in relegation trouble but got a surprising 1-1 draw away to Green Eagles and a win against a Nkwazi side who have nothing to play for will brighten The Parliamentarians chances of survival.
KABWE WARRIORS VS NEW MONZE SWALLOWS, GUC STADIUM, 15:00
One of Warriors last matches of the season at the GUC and they will want to end the season on a high after a disappointing second half campaign in which they only got 4 wins in 14 games.
GREEN EAGLES VS FOREST RANGERS, INDEPENDENCE, 15:00
Green Eagles slipped up against National Assembly when they drew 1-1 at home on Wednesday and face a tricky Forest Rangers side who need three points to confirm that they have survived.
Eagles beat Forest 1-0 in Ndola this year but Foret beat Eagles in Choma last year so this one is an unpredictable match.
NCHANGA RANGERS VS BUILDCON, NCHANGA STADIUM, 15:00
Nothing to play for aside for pride as Rangers are down and out while Buildcon Fc have no chance of a top 4 finish but it will be a game where the likes of Rahim Osmanu will look to increase his 12 goal tally.
KITWE UNITED VS LUMWANA RADIANTS, GARDEN PARK STADIUM, 15:00
Both clubs are still relegation threatened with Radiants under the most pressure as a loss in Kitwe and a win for Assembly will throw Radiants back in the relegation zone but they will be counting their chances against a Kitwe United side who haven’t won in their last 4 games.
NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS VS ZESCO UNITED, NAKAMBALA, 15:00
Zega will have some bad memories of Mazabuka where they were beaten 2-0 in 2014 but haven’t lost there since though this is a pressure match similar to that year as Leopards can still get relegated if they lose which means this game will be one to follow as anything can happen.
SUNDAY the 23rd of September
KYSA VS ZANACO FC, GUC, 14:00
A loss for KYSA and wins by either National Assembly or Lumwana Radiants will confirm KYSA as a relegated team so this is one match they will fight while Zanaco will have the upper hand as they last lost in Kabwe in 2013.
LUSAKA DYNAMOS VS POWER DYNAMOS, NKOLOMA STADIUM, 15:00, LIVE ON SUPERSPORT 9
While THE CLASH OF THE DYNAMOS always excites this years arrives at a time when both clubs have played themselves out of continental positions with LD grappling with a change in technical bench while for Power some of their fans expressed their displeasure by slashing the tires of the CEOs car.
Both teams will want this match done and away and prepare for next season but LD have never liked losing to Power and will want some revenge for the loss which eliminated LD from the Barclays Cup.
RED ARROWS VS NKANA FC, NKOLOMA STADIUM, 15:00, LIVE ON SUPERSPORT 9
The red Army will descend on Nkoloma on Sunday as they get ready to take on an Arrows side who are unbeaten in 9 matches under Chisi Mbewe and have only conceded 2 goals in those 9 matches as Nkana will look to press and get a win to continue chasing Zesco United.
