With the Zambian Super League in a rush to end before the October 16th CAF deadline we saw week 36 matches brought forward with some interesting match ups as only Nkana FC managed to win in the top four.
NKWAZI FC 0-0 ZESCO UNITED
Jesse Were missed an early penalty as Zesco United failed to break down Nkwazi FC but they still top moving to 74 points.
GREEN BUFFALOS 0-1 KABWE WARRIORS
A Clement Mwape goal gave Kabwe Warriors a win as they got revenge over their 1-0 loss to Buffalos in the first round with today’s result meaning that Buffalos haven’t won a match out of their last 5 matches as they are on 65 points in 4th place.
NCHANGA RANGERS 0-2 NKANA FC
An early goal from midfielder Shadreck Malambo and a second half goal from Walter Bwalya gave all three points to Nkana as they move to 68 points and six points from first placed Zesco United.
NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS 0-1 ZANACO FC
A 91st minute goal from Rodgers Kola helped Zanaco get all three points after their 128 Kilometre trip to Mazabuka as they move to 60 points and 5 points outside of the top 4.
GREEN EAGLES 1-1 NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
A late goal from former KYSA forward Isaac Simbuwa rescued a point for Green Eagles after Assembly had taken the lead in the 85th minute through George Chaloba as Eagles continued their unbeaten run moving to 16 matches without a loss moving to 65 points and overtaking Green Buffalos on goal difference.
FOREST RANGERS 0-0 POWER DYNAMOS
The two teams fought out with a draw as Power’s chances of a top 4 finish further reduced as they are now on 52 points in 7th place and can only reach 65 points and have to hope that both Green Buffalos and Green Eagles lose all their remaining 4 matches.
KITWE UNITED 0-1 NAPSA STARS
A goal from midfielder Dan Silavwe gave Napsa Stars all three points as The Pensioners go 12 games unbeaten and move to 15th place on 36 points and are now four points outside the relegation zone.
KYSA 0-0 NEW MONZE SWALLOWS
A battle of the relegation zone sides ended in a draw with Swallows already relegated as KYSA move to 26 points but remain in 18th place and are 10 points away from relegation with only four games to go.
LUSAKA DYNAMOS 1-3 BUILDCON FC
The low key MONEY DERBY was played at Nkoloma Stadium as Buildcon ran away with it with goals from Rahim Osmanu, Moses Phiri and Chanda Mushili to win the match as LDs chances of a top 4 finish ended painfully in a match which saw the clubs topscorer Chrispin Mugalu get sent off as Buildcon move to 53 points in 6th place and now need to hope both Green Buffalos and Green Eagles lose all their last four games for Buildcon to stand a chance of entering into the top 4.
RED ARROWS 2-0 LUMWANA RADIANTS
Arrows are now 9 matches unbeaten under Chisi Mbewe as goals from Chisenga Lukwembe and Captain Bruce Musakanya gave the Airmen a win as they move to 10th place on 48 points.
