Zambian Super League side Lumwana Radiants are ready for a 10 day preseason training camp in the Zambian Capital of Lusaka.
The club from the small mining township of Lumwana in North Western Province had a bad 2018 season where they sacked their coach Zeddy Saileti after the team went on a 4 match losing run though things didnt improve under temporary coach John Munkonje as they went onto fail to win in the next 6 matches before wins over KYSA, Nkwazi FC and Nchanga Rangers saved Radiants from relegation and tehy only survived by 2 points.
Come 2019 for Lumwana and its new ambitions with a new coach in former National Assembly coach Osward Mutapa who has taken over the head coaching role at the club.
Lumwana have also brought onboard some players with Monze Swallows Ghanian striker Rena Effinah joining them while Kabwe Warriors winger Jacob Phiri has also joined onloan and is set to be a direct replacement for Obed Masumbuko who joined Nkana FC.
Midfielder Gozon Mutale has made a return to Lumwana having made little impact at Power Dynamos where he played less than 10 games in two years at the Kitwe based Giants.
