The Zambia Women National Team has been drawn in Group B alongside guest team Cameroon, Lesotho and Mozambique in the race for the 2018 Cosafa Women’s Championship to be staged in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality from September 12-22.

During the draws conducted this morning in Johannesburg, hosts and defending champions South Africa were grouped alongside Botswana, Madagascar and Malawi while Group C will have Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Namibia and Uganda.

Zambian trainer Enala Simbeya is currently drilling her team in Lusaka ahead of the tournament.

Simbeya is hoping to inspire the team to do better than last year’s third place finish attained in Zimbabwe.

Zambia is also due to compete at the 2018 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana in November after having qualified.
