THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and Super Division teams have resolved to pick the country’s CAF inter-club competition representatives after Week 37 as opposed to Week 35.
FAZ last Week announced that it will submit the list of the CAF envoys after week 35 to beat the October 15 deadline set by the Confederation of African Football for the transitional 2018/2019 season.
But during the consultative meeting held in Lusaka on Friday between FAZ and heads of top flight clubs, it was resolved that the association will submit a provisional list of six teams as potential representatives in the Champions League and the Confederations Cup.
“Clubs would have played 37 fixtures by October 15, which will see Week 36 and 37 games ‘squeezed’ before October 15. Week 38 has been projected to be played on November 17, which will bring the season to a close,” according to Fazfootball.com.
