Kick starting the Mid-Week Wrap in the RD Congo where Nathan Sinkala and Rainford Kalaba [Rainford kalaba 17] both featured for the TP Mazembe side that laboured to a 1-0 away win in their Linafoot fixture at Mont Blue. Former Konkola Mine Police defender Kabaso Chongo was an unused substitute for Mazembe.
Zambian coach Albert Mpande has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda where he is expected to sign on the dotted line at AZAM Rwanda Premier League outfit Police FC which is based in Kibungo.

Mushin Ertugral’s Ajax Cape Town side kept their hopes of top flight football alive following their hard fought 1-0 home win over Baroka FC. Zambian winger Rodrick Kabwe played 90 minutes of the match for Ajax. Former Ferroviario de Maputo striker Lewis Macha was not in the 18 man squad for Baroka.
Elsewhere in the ABSA Premiership, Augustine Mulenga scored a brace and club/country-mate Justin Shonga chipped in with a penalty goal for the ruthless Orlando Pirates side that thrashed Bidvest Wits 4-0.
Midfield enforcer Salulani Phiri came off the Polokwane City bench to play the last 4 minutes of their 1-1 draw with Cape Town City FC.
Amazulu put the last nail in the struggling Platinum Stars side that got relegated from the ABSA Premiership after their 2-1 defeat to Amazulu. Zambian goalkeeper coach Davies Phiri [Divers Goalkeeper skool] was on the technical bench for Amazulu where he serves as their goalkeeper coach.
Kennedy Mweene is out on grievance leave and he was not available for selection for the Sundowns side that battled to a 2-2 draw with Maritzburg United.

Zambian coach Texan Phiri failed to get his Tambuti FC charges past Manzini Sundowns who beat them 1-0.
Former Red Arrows F. C. striker Lubinda Mundia came off the bench in the 60th minute and he set up the winning goal for the Singida United side that booked their place in the AZAM Sports Federation Cup final after coming from behind to beat JKT 2-1.
Zambian midfielder Valance Nambishi was not included in the Silkeborg IF 18 man squad that put up a spirited fight in their Danish Pokal semi-final encounter against Fredericia. Silkeborg won the match by a narrow 1-0 result and they’ll get to take on Brondby IF in the final.
In the Evo-Stik Northern Premiership Joe Mwasile did not travel with the Nantwich Town side for their away trip at Shaw Lane AFC which they lost by 3-2.
Elsewhere it was heartbreak for Irfan Kawri and his Clitheroe side that came out second best in the LFA Cup Final which ended with Chorley minting gold after a 3-2 win.
In the Finnish 3rd tier, Emmanuel Mukuka [injured] watched from the stands as his TIPS teammates fell down to a 2-1 home defeat when they hosted FC Futura.
In the Ligat Winner, the Menachem Koretzky coached Hapoel Ra’anana side secured their top flight status following their narrow 1-0 win over FC Ashdod. The Zambian duo of Emmanuel Mbola [full 90 minutes] and Emmanuel Mayuka [last 20 minutes] both featured for Ra’anana.
Credit to Ra’anana because they have been a revelation under Koretzky, they rank first in the Ligat Winner when it comes to distance covered as per the IPFL stats which shows them covering an average distance of 110KM [as a team] per game.
Martin Luther King Chibambo was a second half substitute for the SC Alba side that beat Fiaes SC 1-0 in an AF Aveiro Compeonato Safina encounter.
Mpande Youth Academy product Edward Chilufya was an unused substitute for the Djugarden IF side that was held to a frustrating 2-2 draw in their Allsvenskan encounter away at IF Elfsborg.
The Zambian duo of Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka Jnr travelled with their Red Bull teammates but were not included in the 18 man match day squad.

In the 100PLUS Liga Premier, former Power Dynamos defender Francis Kasonde put in a full 90 minutes shift for the Sabah FA side that recorded a 3-2 defeat in their away encounter at UKM FC.
