Over in the Mocambola, Ferroviario da Beira were held to a 1-1 draw in their Mocambola encounter which was away at Ferroviario de Nampula. The Zambian duo of Lineker Mwiikisa and Thomas Nyirenda both featured for Beira.

Zambian winger Rodrick Kabwe scored a beauty of a goal for the Ajax Cape Town side that was condemned to a 2-1 defeat in their ABSA Premiership encounter away at Amazulu. 2012 AFCON winning goalkeeper coach Davies Phiri was on the technical bench for Amazulu were he serves as their goalkeeper coach.

Hardworking Salulani Phiri put in a full shift for the Polokwane City side that added more misery to the relegation threatened SuperSport side and it was all thanks to Rodney Ramagaela who scored the only goal of the match on the day to hand Polokwane all 3 points.

Elsewhere in the ABSA Premiership, Justin Shonga set up the first goal and club/country-mate Augustine Mulenga came on off the Orlando Pirates bench in the 68th minute and he scored the winning goal in their 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic.

Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute for the Mamelodi Sundowns side that managed a comprehensive 2-0 win over Chippa United.

Lewis Macha was not included in the match day squad for the Baroka FC side that played out to a goalless draw [0-0] with Platinum Stars.

In the Swaziland MTN Premiership, the Texan Phiri coached Tambuti FC side showed great character in their 2-1 win over Vovovo FC.

Elsewhere in the Swaziland MTN Premiership, Zambian attacking midfielder Michael Musonda featured for the Mbabane Highlanders side that posted an impressive 3-0 away win in their encounter away at Red Lions.

Manzini Wanderers moved up into fourth place on the log table following their narrow 1-0 win over Royal Leopards. Zambian midfielder Isaac Steven Mwanza did not feature for Manzini.

In the Armenia Premier League Gandzasar Kapan beat Ararat Yerevan 3-1 and it ensured they kept hold of their second position on the log table. Zambian wing wizard Lubambo Musonda scored the second goal for Gandzasar and it took his season tally to five League goals.

CAF 2017 Young African Footballer Of The Year Patson Daka Jnr returned to action following his 3 week layoff due to a hamstring injury and he came on off the Liefering bench with 30 minutes on the clock remaining to Full Time to play the last 30 minutes of the game of their [Liefering] 1-1 home draw with Austria Lustenau. Mecurial midfielder Enock Mwepu put in a full 90 minutes shift for Liefering.

The Jupiler Pro League Emmanuel Banda played the first 68 minutes of the match for the KV Oostende side that battled to a 3-3 draw with Royal Antwerp.

In the Alska Superliga, Silkeborg scored two late goals in their 3-1 win over Randers. Zambian midfielder Valance Nambishi was not included in the 18 man match day squad for Silkeborg.

The Nick Chadwick coached Wigan U18 youth side saw off a stubborn Burnley U18 side in their Lancashire Cup semi-final encounter which ended 2-1 in their favour. In-form Zambian striker Mwiya Malumo put in a full 90 minute shift for the Wigan U18 side.

In the Evo-Stik Northern Premiership, Zambian coach Irfan Kawri and his Clitheroe side had an off day yet again as their match against Colne was called off due to foul weather conditions.

Elsewhere in the Evo-Stik Northern Premiership Zambian winger Joe Mwasile came off the Nantwich Town bench to play the last two minutes of their impressive 3-1 win over Sutton Coldfield Town.

On-loan Luton Town defender Frankie Musonda [British-born/Zambian descent] played 90 minutes of the match for the Oxford City side that was handed a painful 1-0 defeat when they hosted Chippenham Town FC in a Vanarama League North encounter.

South African born Irish striker of Zambian descent BJ Banda was not included in the 18 man squad for the Ollie Hogan coached Finn Harps side that suffered a 2-1 League Of Ireland Cup defeat.

In the Ladbrokes Premiership, Charly Musonda Jnr warmed the bench for the Celtic side that was held to a draw in their home encounter against Dundee.

Jacob Mulenga made his League debut for the Liaoning Kaixin side that was thrashed 4-0. Club and country-mate James Chamanga did not feature owing to the Foreign player rule.

Former Power Dynamos defender Francis Kasonde marshalled the defense for the Sabah FA side that chalked up a 3-1 Friendly win over visiting Singaporean outfit DPMM FC.

Giant Killers BGC FC progressed to the next round of the Chang Cup at the expense of Ayutthaya United who had to endure a 2-1 defeat. Zambian midfielder Noah Chivuta was not included in the 18 man squad and so was the case for a number of their top players.
