Clatous Chama
Poster boy of Tanzanian super league Clatous Chota Chama Junior was on tuesday rested for the second string Simba side that picked up the third win at the Maphinduzi cup after beating Mlandege 1-0.

The Simba line up did not have most of the first team players such as Chama, John Bocco and Meddi Kagere. With the CAF champions league group stage fixture against JS Saoura on Saturday in mind, Simba coach Patrick Aussems opted to leave the key players out of the matchday squad. Simba scored the all important goal in the 21st minute through Haruna Niyonzima as they progressed to the semifinals.

Meanwhile in South Africa, Augustine Mulenga played the first 81 minutes for the Orlando Pirates side that beat Chippa United 4-2. Zambian compatriot Justin Shonga came on for Thembinkhosi Lorch in the 86th minute.

Pirates are now just two points behind log leaders Bidvest Vits who lost 2 nill to Kaiser Chiefs on Wednesday.
