China based Zambian striker Jacob Mulenga has been inducted into the Hall Of Fame of French Ligue 2 side Chateauroux.
Jacob who kick started his football career in Zambia with club side Afrisport joined Chateauroux in 2004 and went on to play 109 games scoring 27 goals with one of those goals picking up the Goal Of The Season Award in Ligue 2 for the French Ligue 2 side.
Jacob joins a group of 49 other former Chateauroux players that include among others former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda, who played for the club from 1996-2000.
A great achievement by a Zambian player considering that the club [Chateauroux] is over 100 years old, stems back from 1883.
*Worth noting that Jacob holds the record for most goals scored by a Zambian player in the French Ligue 2, Dutch Eredivisie and China League One. He is one of our best exports abroad to date.
Keep it up Jacob!
