Following Presidential Elections in neighboring Botswana all League games were put off and that meant that Zambian coach Stanley Mwaanga and all at Extension Gunners had an off weekend and it was a similar affair with coach Mike Sithole and all at Police XI; Ronald Chikomo and all at Security Systems and Richard Musheke and all at UF Santos also had off weekends.
In the MTN Eswatini Premier League, Young Buffaloes gave the Honour Janza drilled Mbabane Swallows side a ‘Baptism of Fire’ in the form of a 3-1 beating.
In the Mocambola, Zambian midfielder Thomas Nyirenda came on off the bench to play the last 26 minutes for the Ferrovirio da Beira side that registered a 1-0 home defeat when they took on GD da Companhia Textil do Pungue. Club/country-mate Lineker Mwiikisa is still injured and was not included in the Beira match day squad.
Zambian coach William Chilufya who serves as assistant coach at Tura Magic is currently on pre-season.

Rainford Kalaba and Kabaso Chongo were the only Zambians that featured for Mazembe, while Thandi Mwape who was on the subs bench picked up a *DNP. In the ABSA Premiership, Zambian midfield enforcer Salulani Phiri scored the goal for the Polokwane City side that registered a 2-1 defeat in their away encounter at Golden Arrows. Club/country-mate Mwenya Chibwe was an unused substitute for Rise and Shine [Polokwane City].
Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga both featured for the Orlando Pirates side that was handed a shock 1-0 defeat in thier away encounter at Stellenbosch FC. Former Nkana FC midfield genius Austin Muwowo was not included in the Pirates match day squad.
Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic scored both goals for the Kaizer Chiefs side that beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0. Zambian striker Lazarous Kambole was an unused substitute for Sundowns while on the opposite end Kennedy Mweene put in a full shift for Sundowns.

Giants Esperance registered a comprehensive 2-0 win over CS Sfaxien in a CLP-1 encounter. Zambian midfielder Boyd Musonda who has been in the Country [Zambia] for over a month for personal reasons has been a subject of interest in the Tunisian media with certain outlets reporting that the authorities at Sfaxien could terminate his contract.
Highlanders FC beat FC Platinum 3-0 to book a ticket into the semi-finals of the Chibuku Cup. Zambian striker Peter Nyirenda was not included in the Highlanders match day squad.
Red Bull Salzburg survived a scare and needed a last minute free-kick from specialist Zlatko Junuzovic who ensured that Salzburg ran out 3-2 winners in their Tipico Bundesliga, encounter against SK Rapid Wien.
