Zanaco FC have signed 6 new players while the club has also let 5 players go as the Lusaka Based Giants announced changes to the squad that will look to get back on the continent in the 2019 season.
The club has signed 2 players from outside of the ZSL with Congolese left-back Disengomoka Pangi Autriche joining from Angolan side Sporting Clube de Cabinda while former Unisport of Bafang captain and Camerounian defender Richepin Tchokouaya has also joined the Bankers.
Locally the club has brought in Congolese defender Patient Ikamba from Lusaka Dynamos as well as Ghanian Central defender Kelvin Owusu from Nkwazi Fc while the club has promoted young leftback Patrick Kalota from Young Zanaco FC and recalled midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu from his two year ploan spell at Lumwana Radiants.
The club has let go of defenders only in what looks to be a revamp of the backline with the contracts of defenders George Chilufya and Zimbabwean Zimiseleni Moyo not being renewed while Chongo Chirwa, Andrew Kwiliko and Utility player Diddy Kitumbo have been released.
Striker Kennedy Musonda is the only player on the list who hasnt left the club as he has been sent onloan to Kabwe Warriors while it was expected that Former Dynamos captain Ocean Mushure would be on the list after some sections of the Zimbabwean media reported that he had signed for The Bankers but he is nowhere on the list of new players.
