CONFEDERATION Cup envoys Nkana have acquired Red Arrows striker Festus Mbewe on a season-long loan deal.

A check by the Sports Mail at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe yesterday found Mbewe training with the 12-time Super Division champions while hitman Walter Bwalya was missing.

Bwalya is reported to be in Algeria on the verge of signing for MC Algers.
Other new acquisitions at Nkana include striker Humphrey Maseneko from Zesco United and Forest Rangers defender Gift Zulu.
Club chief executive officer Ken Mwansa said in an interview yesterday that Mbewe, who was part of the squad when Nkana won a record 12th Super Division title in 2013, has joined on season loan deal.
