Reliable sources indicate that Nkana FC are after Buildcon FCs captain Mustapha Essuman after the club seems to have lost out on thier defensive midfielder Donashano Malama.
Sources in Morocco indicate that Donashano who is currently in Morocco with Zambia’s CHAN squad has sealed a deal with Moroccan club Olympique Khourigba Clube.
The news seems to have thrown Nkana into a panic as sources indicate that Malama’s contract was reaching the end and the club didnt renew and that despite this it went ahead and included Malama in the CAF Confederations Cup squad list .
There have been frantic efforts to convince Malama to stay but it doesn’t seem to have worked out hence the option of looking for a replacement.
Ghanian midfielder Mustapha Essuman looks like that replacement as the information available is that Buildcon maybe unwilling to offer him a new contract which makes him a free agent and the former Accra Hearts of Oak strongman can join any club.
With the CAF registration deadline day having elapsed yesterday it’s not immediately clear whether Nkana have managed to sign Essuman and register him in time.
