Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek SC are keen on signing Nkana striker Walter Bwalya S Binene, KingFut can confirm.
The Whites are interested in signing another forward after their poor start in the league as they find themselves fourth after 14 games, nine points behind league leaders Ismaily.
Bwalya is highly rated in Zambia and has enjoyed immense success at Nkana, winning the league 2016 top goal-scorer after scoring 24 goals, and another 13 in 2017 which helped his side to a third place in the Zambian league.
Zamalek president Mortada Mansour previously revealed they wanted to sign a Congolese striker that scored 24 goals and many thought it would be Thievy Bifouma or Eric Nyemba, but what they don’t know is that Bwalya has a Congolese passport.
KingFut understands that Zamalek will face tough competition from fellow Egyptian side Smouha for the signature of Walter Bwalya as the Blues are hoping to secure his services next January, despite signing Ghanian forward Stephen Sarfo two weeks ago.
Both clubs will have to sell one more foreign player if they want to sign the Zambian/Congolese forward as Egyptian clubs are eligible to have up to only four foreign players.
It’s worth mentioning that Bwalya was linked with a move to Zamalek rivals Ismaily last summer, but the negotiations fell through.
